RemoveR Shareware- $5 / ú3
**********************************************************************
Imagine ...
You've just got that Cd from the cover of a magazine, and you're trying
all the demos out ... in the background files are getting added to your
windows or windows/system directory ... they're growing ... the files
aren't removed ... you run out of disk space ... you have to sell your
house for a new hard drive ... homeless - all for the sake of $5/ú3 :-)
Ok. Imagine this ...
You run RemoveR. It makes a record of your entire Windows directory and
all its subdirectorys (cunningly ignoring the temp directory & all
hidden folders - such as 'Recent' in Win95).
You run all your demo software ... files are added.
You run RemoveR again. It tells you all the files that have been added
or deleted since you last updated its records, and it allows you to
delete any of the new files you don't want. Cool.
Get the idea?
Fair enough, programs should uninstall these days ... but there are
soooooo many that don't - so think of RemoveR as your insurance !
Its easy to use, try it and see.
To scan click 'Update Scan Database'
To check for differences from last saved sacn, click 'Find Changes'
After displaying changes and deleting files, you may like to update
the database (click 'Update Scan Database') to add any changes you wish
to make permanent, and not be alerted to any more.
Windows95/NT users, run RmvR32.exe
(If you have both the 16 Bit and 32 Bit versions of RemoveR then stick
to one version, they each store their database in a different
format - using one to make it and one to read it is asking for trouble)

RemoveR is Shareware. If you like it, please send $5/ú3 to help a young
programmer out :-) ... if $5/ú3 is a lot of money to you, send
something else.
If you have any comments/bugs feel free to mail me - I'll do what I can
to help you out. Registering isn't mandatory for support.

Technical :
Its written in VB4/Win95. I know its not superfast, but you try writing
a recursive directory search routine any faster ... if you can
send it to me :-)

Changes since v1.1
* Included the runtime files. My mailbox was exploding with people
wanting these !! This makes the distributable larger, so sorry to
all those who had these files... this is for the benefit of those
who haven't.
* Now shipped as a separate 16 Bit and 32 Bit application. The 32-Bit
version is Long Filename Aware, the 16 Bit version isn't.
* Changed my email address & web address.
Changes since v1.0
* Added the ability to save the search result, to enable uninstalling
at a future date. To do this just click 'Save Search' when you have
performed a scan. This data is saved into a file, and the program
can be uninstalled at a later date. To uninstall a saved file, just
click the button on the main screen.
